Fiberglass Rear Fender, 1972 and Older Beetle and Superbeetle, Stock Width, Right, RSS-12 are made by Creative Car Craft, and are a stock width replacement fender, since finding good German metal is getting so difficult! No more rust or dents to deal with! Bolt holes are marked but not drilled, nor are the bumper bracket nor tail light holes..
Pictures do not do these fenders justice! They are exceptionally smooth, with only minor deburring and clearancing to prep for installation. The mounting flange is marked for holes but not drilled, and it's very wide for maximum strength. The flange often needs to be trimmed, but it's made big so the mounting is as strong as possible. These fenders are so strong you can stand on them after they are bolted onto the car (though we don't recommend this!).
Item FeaturesThese fenders feature a rolled outer lip just like stock! This makes them very strong, and "finished". The mounting flange is WIDE, and is accurately marked for holes to be drilled. Hand Laminated Fiberglass is a LOT stronger and more durable than "Chopper Gun" fiberglass products, and they come with a pre-primed and easy sanding gelcoat finish, making prep for paint quick and easy!
NOTE: The bolt mounting pattern is the same for ALL YEARS of VW Beetle and Super Beetle rear fenders! You can sway fenders from any year to any other year, but bumper bracket locations and sizes differ, as do light mounting and light wiring. Tail Lights are NOT INCLUDED.
